Kisakye Jovine is a Ugandan author, poet, and legal scholar who writes to capture the depths of human emotion and the beauty of resilience. She is the author of Happiness Within Us, a celebrated poetry anthology that explores themes of self-discovery, courage, and connection through a vivid African lens.

Beyond her own creative writing, Kisakye is a passionate champion for the East African literary community. She serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Desha Publishing House, where she actively helps upcoming writers transform their manuscripts into published works. Her dedication to education and literary empowerment earned her a nomination for Edupreneur of the Year at the prestigious SHE Awards Africa.

When she is not writing or managing publishing operations, Kisakye is pursuing her legal studies at the Islamic University in Uganda. Deeply inspired by her family and her natural surroundings, she continues to use her unique, evocative voice to inspire readers across the globe.
